Change and Growth in Mathematical understanding
In my research I explore the growth of mathematical understanding for learners experiencing difficulty in mathematics learning. I look at the importance of small moments of growth and how these small moments accumulate into larger mathematical understandings.

Questions I am Exploring:
What does it mean to understand mathematics? And, what does growth in understanding look like? Can growth in understanding mathematics be a recursive process? What does growth in understanding look like for learners experiencing difficulty with mathematics? And, what strategies support growth in understanding of mathematics for learners with special learning needs?
