About MeI am an Assistant Professor of STEAM Education in the Faculty of Education at Ontario Tech University in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada.
In my research I explore the transitions, tensions, and possibilities in the pedagogical spaces that occur after access to STEAM learning environments. Within these pedagogical spaces I examine the intersectionality of multiple constructs that include gender, notions of ability, race, and culture. At the centre of my research is the study of change, innovation, inclusion, and equity- I have been creating a program of research around STEAM education to humanize the content and disrupt our perceptions and interactions with all learners. My Graduate and Undergraduate teaching includes courses in Integrated STEAM Learning, Mathematics Methods and Content, Qualitative Research Methods, Curriculum Theory, and Theories of Learning. In 2020 I received the Ontario Tech Early Career Teaching Award. |
